Frivolous Friday! Whale Watching & 14,000 Steps

It’s Frivolous Friday!

Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)

Yep, this happened #1:

Don’t you love a morning on the coast?    Specifically a morning walk at Torrey Pines State Beach…?
– does it get any better than that?

The views from the top were AWESOME!

We hiked all around the reserve – ending up with 7.2 miles and 14,000+ steps….and we enjoyed and treasured the views of each and every one of those steps!

We are always on the lookout for wildlife whenever we hike and were lucky enough to spot an osprey….

We also enjoyed watching some California Brown Pelicans soaring around AND saw our first gray whale of the year!

**We were on the cliff trail when another hiker pointed out the whale swimming in the distance –

the whale pod didn’t show up in my cell phone photo but we definitely saw him/her how cool is THAT?

We did meet a sea lion though!

Living in San Diego is such a blessing, isn’t it?

What can I say:  I’m Feeling Blessed!
