Frivolous Friday! Sea Serpent & the Wolf Pup
It’s Frivolous Friday!
Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)
Yep, this happened #1:
Met a Sea Serpent this week!
Let me back up a bit to mention I met the serpent while the hubs and I were camping in Anza Borrego State Park and statues like this are scattered ALL OVER the valley floor.
Borrego Springs is only 60 miles from home, but a world away!
It was 85 degrees all three days we were there (while it was 55-65 degrees in Poway) – it was a glorious little burst of summer!
Speaking of glorious, this was the sunrise on our first morning….just breathtaking!
I ask you, is there anything better than the morning sun shining through a Chollas cactus?
I think NOT….
The jimson weed was enjoying the sunrise too!
Discovered someone else who was up to enjoyed the sunrise too…we said “good morning’ and wandered our separate ways.
Hubs and I enjoyed a few hikes while we were there (this is the Panorama Trail – overlooking our campground.)
Our mini-me’s came along too!
We strolled over to the Visitor’s Center to learn a few things….
And found a few surprises….
This Roadrunner was ‘tenderizing’ his breakfast….this is the food chain IN ACTION.
Speaking of looking for food….
And this feather looks like it could be his…?
Each night we enjoyed a campfire and stunning starry skies! 
After three glorious days soaking in the warmth and beauty of the desert, we headed home into chilly overcast skies….
What can I say: I’m Feeling Blessed!
