Frivolous Friday! Getting my Christmas Season started

It’s Frivolous Friday!

Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)

Yep, this happened #1:

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving but pardon me, but this blog is all about my family’s tradition of decorating Christmas cookies on Black Friday.

WHAAAAA?   Yep!

We realized that since we are all scattered all over it’s too hard to meet closer to Christmas so we do it when we are together

– because it’s the TOGETHER that counts not the date on the calendar.

Of course we made some sugar cookies with lots of colorful decorations….side note – gel frosting tubes are fun to use and look at but not fun to store or eat…

And who doesn’t like a chocolate cookie?  Especially one with white chocolate frosting and a Reese’s cup!

I also made some Peppermint Candy Pretzels (a very simple recipe:  Pretzel + Hershey kiss + 6 minutes in the oven = Amazing Treat!)

You can use any flavor Hershey Kiss, but I’m all about peppermint this time of year!

And once you have all those Oh So Yummy treats, what should you do with them? Set up a cozy situation of course

What can I say:  I’m Feeling Blessed!
