Frivolous Friday! Making a Splash!
It’s Frivolous Friday!
Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)
Yep, this happened #1:
Had so much fun celebrating my mom’s birthday!
We met for a super fun and refreshing pool party….complete with purple glitter pool toys!
First up, meet my ‘original’ family….lol…before spouses and grandkids! And I’ll also give you a peek of the birthday princess reigning over her party….
OF course we had lots of fun in the pool….
And speaking of fun – my sister’s pooch LOVES to be splashed so that added some giggles too!!!
After our swim we gathered for an amazing dinner:
Tri-Tip with chimichurri sauce, crab cakes, corn on the cob, salads and all the extra fixings!
And I thought I would bring a silly version of fruit salad….lol! 😉
My sister ordered the cutest cake for my mom!
Mom’s favorite hobby is ceramics so it was the perfect theme!
Happy Birthday mom!!!!
Yep, this happened #2:
I decided to keep the celebration going by visiting my mom for a couple days.
They live in Palm Desert so I was had to psych myself up for summer high temperatures of 110-115 degrees.
GULP!
So you KNOW I made sure to head for my morning walk BEFORE SUNRISE – and I was treated to some beautiful views.
Fun fact, the temperature before the sun rose was 89 degrees! Hard to believe!
My folks live in a beautiful retirement community built around a stunning golf course – so the views are amazing everywhere – but with added sparkle at sunrise!
Even the golf cart tunnel was beautiful! 😉
What can I say: I’m Feeling Blessed!
