WHEN TO TAKE MATERNITY PHOTOS
Pregnancy is such an incredible journey and at the end of the road comes a precious little being that changes your life forever.

Maternity photography is such a beautiful way to document this special moment in time for a family.

While it may seem overwhelming to fit in a maternity photography session during an already incredibly hectic time of your life, you won’t regret ever having taken pregnancy photos.

I encourage every expecting mother to document their pregnancy.

A common question for an expecting mother is, when should I get my maternity photographs taken?

I recommend you schedule your maternity photography session early when you are feeling great and movement is easy…In general, you should schedule your maternity session early in your third trimester, between 30 and 36 weeks

Ideally we want your baby bump to be nice and round and “pop” in your photos.

This is also before the baby moves downward; you should be able to move around a bit easier and still comfortable for the session.

Plan an earlier session if you are expecting multiples
If you are expecting multiples, you would schedule your session earlier, between 27 and 30 weeks.

This is a time when you can still move around fairly easily.

And SIDE NOTE:  Please take these suggestions as just that -Please schedule a session when it’s best for you –
There are no rules saying that you can’t schedule your session outside of these recommendations.

What is important is that you are comfortable and the time of the session works for you and your family.
