Frivolous Friday! Outdoor adventure! Camping fun #3
It’s Frivolous Friday!
Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)
Yep, this happened #1:
We squeezed in another wintery camping trip in our little Wolf Pup!
(And seriously, can you STAND how cute my little camp flag is? Etsy has EVERYTHING!)
We tried to do a bit more cooking outside for this trip – so we roasted hot dogs for lunch….
And of course we followed that up with marshmallows because YES of COURSE….
(Side note, this is marshmallow roasting PERFECTION in my book – how about you?)
Yummy and fun lunch!
And then after a peaceful, star filled night….
Flash and I woke before sunrise (as we do every day – I’m an early bird for sure) then we bundled up and hit the trails for our morning walk.
(It’s hard to tell in the photo but the grass and bark covered ground is covered with frost!)
I kept my eye on the sun because if the sunrise was beautiful, I wanted to capture it.
So here are three photos – the first was before sunrise, the second shows two water drops on the trees that helped me design my composition…
Here comes the sun! Please make sure you look at the previous photo where I describe my thought process and how I made this final sunrise portrait!
And I promise that whenever I pick up a camera my mind is considering every element to determine how I can make the image better!

Flash and I sat with our morning coffee and enjoyed the sunrise with a little family of ducks…
Yep, this happened #2:
I need some help – do you have some FUN games we could bring along?
It needs to be fun for just two people and hopefully not too bulky – we don’t want our cute little trailer to be overwhelmed with stuff!
This trip we brought along the teeniest little backgammon set you ever did see…isn’t it adorable?
The game is magnetic too – perfect for travel….

And I have to show you how we celebrated TWOS-Day 2-22-22
….with TACOS for TWO of course!!! They were terrific! (And how fun is my new fiesta serving ware? They were a Christmas gift.)
