Frivolous Friday! Supreme Craftiness and Christmas Decor Galore

It’s Frivolous Friday!

Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)

Yep, this happened #1:

I’m having some extra fun being just a little crafty this time of year…!

I created a peppermint forest on my dining room table….

And the sweetest little “D” you ever did see (and smell!)

But I have to share my supreme-ist craftiness of all:   I spent part of my year cross-stitching a Christmas stocking for Matt’s fiance, Shelby!

Cuz OF COURSE my future Daughter-In-Love has to be represented on our fireplace mantle!!

I hadn’t done any cross-stitching in years but I just had to make her a matching stocking too.

I forgot how relaxing and rewarding needlework is – so I’m going to keep on stitchin’

[….my next project is a little scene that’s going to hang in our sweet little trailer.  (I bought the pattern for my next project from an artist on Etsy – if you are interested you can check it out – link in comments HERE)]

Yep, this happened #2:

I made a new friend this week!

My pal and I couldn’t resist a stop at City Lights to see what amazing Christmas things they had on display – look who I bumped in to!

I loved looking at all the fun and creative things!  It definitely puts you in a festive mood!

They have EVERYTHING from life-sized Santas to holiday puppies….

To the most amazing- and COLORFUL- trees!

What are your thoughts on these??

I say they are fun but not in my house….at least not this year…but maybe if they had a purple one….lol

City Lights has an intimate Christmas boutique as well as a huge warehouse with everything from outdoor décor….

I looked longingly at all their peppermint themed decorations but I resisted!

(If you missed seeing my Peppermint themed tree check THIS OUT)

Thought these snowmen pillows were adorable with their pointy little noses – aren’t they the cutest?

And no matter what theme of ornament you are looking for from a watermelon to a burrito – they will probably have it!

I did buy one new holiday decoration….how fun is this little trailer?

It’s a noteworthy addition to my little Christmas village display (and if you don’t know why, check out THIS BLOG for the whole scoop.)

And the little two happy-campers kinda look like me & my hubby – so it was extra perfect!  (Even our pooch is represented!  lol)
