Frivolous Friday! Playing in the Street

It’s Frivolous Friday!

Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)

Yep, this happened #1:

I’ve been playing in the street a lot this past year while I’m out on my morning walk.

Can you believe I’m in the middle of my longest exercise streak of 10,000 steps or more without missing a single day?

This does at a bit of stress to my life – like on a wedding day when I still have to go out power walking because I can’t risk not meeting my goal…or when I still headed out for my walk the day after my second vaccine because there’s no way I could skip!

sheesh.

So Flash and I set out each and every morning for a five mile power walk…..

(And I ask you, is there anything better than a long, skinny morning shadow….?  I think not!)

While we are playing in the street, we are always on the look out for new friends….

Look how far our new friend traveled to meet us!  Is that dedication to a journey, or WHAT?

Once we noticed a race going on….

And although we sometimes come to a BUMP in the road, we keep on truckin’!

Yep.  This happened #2

Now, speaking of playing in the street – I have to share a SUPER COOL little event in my life with you!

I SAW THE GOOGLE STREET VIEW car!

GASP!  Can you stand it?

I saw it behind me on Pomerado Road and I did some quick thinking and decided it might be turning at the next intersection – so I turned in ahead of it,

grabbed my cell phone and crossed my fingers that it would follow me and drive by.

AND IT DID!

Well, you can bet I started checking Google Street View right after that to see if the cameras were rollinig – and what do you know,

about 4 months later – BAM – here I am on Google Street view!

How fun is that?   You can see I’m taking it’s photo too….and side note, don’t you love my car?

So, if you click over to Google Maps (link in comments) then slip into street view you will see me!

It was a fun little life moment for sure!

Yep, this happened #3:

And occasionally, I treat myself for all that exercise — If you haven’t been to O’Brien’s Boulangerie in Poway,

you should definitely head over there for a coffee break or lunch.

I said goodbye (not hello!  lol) to summer with a fruit tart!

In case you didn’t know, if you choose a pastry with the word “FRUIT” in it – the calories are cancelled out because it is healthy….

Stick with me for more health tips!  😉
