Frivolous Friday! La Jolla in the Morning, Thinking About 2022 & S’mores in the Evening

It’s Frivolous Friday!

Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)

Yep, this happened #1:

I’m usually at the coast during the sunset hour photographing a family or high school senior, but this week we set out for the coast in the morning – since the coast is always beautiful and cool!

It was almost 100 degrees at home, but just 68 and a little cloudy on the coast

If you haven’t been on the Coast Walk Trail in La Jolla, you need to get-on-over-there!

And – side note – it’s THE iconic little trail to take out of town guests – it really is iconic San Diego – with cliff views to forever,

million dollar homes to oogle over, fresh salty air and lots of photo ops!

Plus the trail is level with a really fun wooden bridge and it’s short – so win, win, win in my book!

Enter near the Cave Store in La Jolla (another great stop if you’ve never been there!) and then walk north when you get to the end, flip and stroll back.

After your morning stroll I recommend coffee and a cranberry scone from The Brick And Bell.

It’s a sweet little bakery in a hundred year old building – so quaint and my treats were delish!

Yep, this happened #2:

I’m just going to say this flat out… promise you won’t roll your eyes.
I have a small love affair going with beautiful and fun stationery supplies.
I can’t help it, I just love a beautiful note card, shiny purple paper clips, themed post-its, beautiful markers, purple envelopes, a camera shaped tape dispenser, etc, etc, etc.
Anyone else? [crickets….]
Well my exciting event of the week from the stationery front is that my beautiful new 2021-2022 Calendar just arrived!
OOOO! I’ve already booked so many weddings for next year, I needed to get my calendar going early!
(Yes, I use a paper calendar in addition to my computer/phone calendar – I need both to feel on top of my crazy amazing life!)
Let me just state that my office calendar is a carefully chosen work of art – it must be the perfect size, a cute style, the perfect color (with BUTTERFLIES no less,) be spiral bound and have just the right sized daily spaces to write in.
Feast your eyes on this work of art — all crisp and full of potential!
With purple accessories ready to help make my vision come to life…..AHHHH.
And I feel so completely ORGANIZED (all except for having to write an extra note on the last page of my 2022 calendar with an already scheduled 2023 wedding date…gasp!….  (.how long till the 2023 calendar is available….?)
**And another thing I already did was write in all the PUSD and Scripps Ranch and San Diego School calendar dates so I knew when I should be especially available for my clients, when to schedule my Free Cap and Gown portraits, etc
So if you happen to need the PUSD or Scripps Ranch / San Diego Unified calendars, let me know I have the links handy
Yep.  This happened #3
Hubs and I have been enjoying our fire pit this summer – it’s so mesmerizing to watch the fire dance!

Every now and then I just can’t resist dragging out the s’mores fixins…hubby doesn’t really like them (can you believe it?  I’ll stay married to him, but just barely…lol)

But I ADORE THEM – but since they aren’t the healthiest, I try not to indulge too often….Note to self:  Happy food ALWAYS tastes better!

What can I say:  I’m Feeling Blessed!

And do you know what else I’m blessed by?     Capturing amazing moments for you to treasure for a lifetime!
