It’s Frivolous Friday!
Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)
Yep, this happened #1:
I just HAD to celebrate National Watermelon Day! (August 3rd) I had to celebrate because watermelon is my #1 TASTE OF SUMMER.
**And runner ups on my fav summer foods are peaches and corn on the cob!
What does summer taste like to you?
I couldn’t resist creating some fun food photography to honor my favorite summer food:
It’s raining, it’s pouring….hee hee
This is such a fun way to serve watermelon don’t you think?
The hubs and I also enjoy grilled watermelon and feta salad!
**Grilling watermelon caramelizes the sugars to make it extra yummy — add feta or blue cheese and some greens and you’ve created a show stopping masterpiece.
Well all this talk about watermelon made me remember the cutest dress I made last summer….hee hee
And, yes actually, I DO like playing with my food…. 😉
And lastly, I have to share one of my watermelon gadgets – a reuseable plastic cover to keep your watermelon fresh and beautiful!
Watermelon is full of Vitamins A, C, and antioxidants. So what are you waiting for?
Go get yourself a few slices of watermelon to celebrate this delicious holiday.
Yep. This happened #2
The hubs and I enjoyed a little picnic dessert this week and our first live theatre since before the pandemic!
We were at The Moonlight Outdoor Theatre seeing Beauty and the Beast and I always bring a special dessert and hot coffee for us to enjoy during intermission….
We were so impressed with the acting, singing, musicians, costumes, lighting and the set – I can’t recommend it enough!
