Frivolous Friday! Boating in the Bay, Walking Route 66 and RAIN
It’s Frivolous Friday!
Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)
Yep, this happened #1:
Ventured out on San Diego Bay with my little sister this week!
Her family was enjoying a little vacation at the Catamaran and she invited the hubs and I to join them on a boat cruise around the bay.
How amazing is this boat?
We purred around the whole bay for two hours enjoying some of the sights of our beautiful city – from surf dogs to roller coasters and everything in between!
Met some wildlife along the way too…like this pelican who was hoping we would share our snacks….
Also spotted this sea lion who gave us a cheery “hello!”
And if you know me at all, you KNOW we ate a lil somethin’ during our boat ride around the bay!!!
We picked up some fried chicken for our feast….
…and added zucchini fries and onion rings so we could check off our vegetable requirement for the day….hee hee…
Yep, this happened #2:
Speaking of eating vegetables and being healthy…lol….
My pal and I finally finished walking Route 66 – we walked 2280 miles in a little less than a year!!
Obviously we were doing a Virtual Race -and it added so much fun to our walks!
Once you sign up, their app does all the tracking so you don’t have to think about it and we walked 2280 miles in a little less than a year!
When you sign up for the Virtual Race you also get postcards along the way so we learned some new things and then we got a nifty race medal.
And I decided that I would treat myself to a new pair of walking shoes!
(Fun fact – a pair of walking shoes is supposed to last 300-600 miles!)
And speaking of walking – wasn’t that rain earlier this week fun? Flash and I enjoyed our entire morning walk in the drizzle!
And guess, what? I captured a few photos….SURPRISE….lol.
This was the newspaper on my driveway — fun how the drops focus the text….
Rain drops make everything more beautiful, don’t you think?
The moonflower was especially stunning with added sparkle!
