Frivolous Friday! I belong in the zoo and Donuts!
It’s Frivolous Friday!
Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)
Yep, this happened #1:
Made a new friend this week during my very first trip back to the zoo since before lockdown…isn’t she sweet?
The zoo felt very safe and I give it two thumbs up!
Here’s what I noticed was different from pre-pandemic.
First up, you have to make an advance reservation. I logged on a few days before and had no problem (not sure if that’s true if you log on the same day??)
When you arrive, you will see that the zoo entrance is really different (you have to que up in the parking lot and wander through lots of ropes to get in.)
Masks are required….which personally I appreciated!
All the climbing structures/interactive elements are roped off as no-touch-zones.
Otherwise – it’s the same ole, WONDERFUL zoo!
The flamingos are still splashing….
The meerkats are still taking turns watching for predators…
And the polar bears are having fun!
Yep, this happened #2:
Played with my food because today is National DONUT DAY!
Couldn’t resist buying some sweetness to celebrate!
The hubs and I really love buttermilk and raised glazed, but who can resist adding some fun color into the mix?
Yay for donuts! Which is your fav???
Yep, this happened #3:
I got SUPER excited when I saw this banner hanging at Old Poway Park – the Summer Concert Series and Fourth of July Celebration are BAAAAAAAACK!
So pencil these in on your calendar and maybe I’ll see you there!
Yay!
It’s beginning to feel a lot like…normal….don’t you think?
What can I say: I’m Feeling Blessed!
