Frivolous Friday! Gettin’ My Kicks on Coronado Island
It’s Frivolous Friday!
Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)
Yep, this happened #1:
Spent some time in Coronado this week….soaking up the sun and WORKING at the same time!
I was working because I was doing some Wedding Day Pre-planning!
**I always visit venues before the actual wedding day to make plans for beautiful portraits, decide on a route to all the best spots and to get a lay-of-the-land because I like to hit the ground running on wedding day!
Wedding photography time is always tight and I don’t want to waste a single minute – so, while I’m always ready for anything that might pop up, I also preplan the whole day!
So I spent some time wandering around the Coronado Marriot doing things like this:
And finding beautiful little scenes like this….can you picture a bride and groom standing there under those glorious blossoms?
And won’t this be a beautiful backdrop for Wedding Day Photos?
I found a beautiful pond….
And some flamingos! Who knew?
I found the perfect spot for a very private Bride and Groom’s First Look….next time you see this my bride and groom will be here!
And a beautiful spot for the wedding party to have some fun….with a view
I also took some time to enjoy the sights. I’m pretty sure this is the craziest chair in all of San Diego!
Also found the most fun bike sculpture – the wheels were spinning in the wind and the whole sculpture swung around like a weather vane…so fun!
Also spied another unique piece of art:
Pretty cool, don’t you think? If you haven’t visited Tidelands Park, or the Coronado Marriot, make sure you take time to stroll around
Yep, this happened #3:
After our adventure we needed some refreshment – and some yummy gelato hit the spot!
Passion Fruit was the choice this time, but next time I’m going to try Dragonberry.
Did you know that gelato has 60% less fat and calories than American ice cream? Score!
What can I say: I’m Feeling Blessed!
