Frivolous Friday: When Zombies Come to Dinner, My 1st Halloween Party & Cute Lil Punkins
It’s Frivolous Friday!
Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)
Yep, this happened #1:
I hosted my first Halloween Party EVER this week.
For two couples. Via Zoom.
Here’s the backstory:
Every week since March we’ve been meeting via Zoom with Matt and his fiance, Shelby (yep. you heard me right FIANCE! Woot!)
Well this week I decided to force an extra bit of family fun on us by declaring it a Zoom Halloween “Costumes & Cocktails Party”
I even sent out invitations.
[Insert hubby’s eye roll here…hee hee….]
I think one of my jobs is to keep everyone guessing what crazy idea I will come up with next… 😉
The Hubs and I came as Zombies…. and Matt and Shelby joined the fun as a Narwhal and Chief Engineer Scotty on Star Trek!
It was one thousand times more fun than I even thought it would be – yay for zombies on zoom!!!
(Seriously, I had a goofy smile on my face the entire time we were together and it’s still lasting all day today as well….)
Yep, this happened #2:
We had a super fun time at our Zoom Cocktail Party, and then afterwards hubby and I enjoyed a Halloween themed dinner!
And even though zombies like to eat brains, we decided to feast on burgers instead!
Starting with Jack O’burgers…
And accompanying our spooky burgers were: Devil’s Eye Eggs, Pumpkin Punch, Decaying Eyeball grapes, Snake curly fries and Haunted Potato Salad to name a few.
And for dessert, of course, Death By Chocolate!
It sure did bring me a lot of happiness thinking anticipating the fun: the smiles and laughs during our zoom, what I would make for dinner, our decorations, our costumes, cocktail snacks, etc, etc.
Have you ever noticed that even though things can be extra work, the happiness boost makes it all worthwhile…..?
I just love having a fun event on my calendar and in case you haven’t noticed, fun events have been few and far between the past few months….
And bonus I had something interesting to share for this Frivolous Friday!
So double score for all of us!
Yep, this happened #3:
