Frivolous Friday! A YELLOW Guessing Game

It’s Frivolous Friday!

Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)

Yep, this happened 1:

Well last week I mentioned I made a conscious decision to make Lemonade out of the Lemons I was handed when my trip to Europe was cancelled.  (HERE if you missed that story.)

Well that got me thinking about LEMONS.

So I decided to make a little lemony treat for me and the hubs – and I made it into a guessing game for you!

Tell me how many photos it takes you to guess what I made:

Some ingredients….

A whole lotta lemon zest….can you smell how amazing this is?

A little bit of baking and a little bit of pouring….

Did you guess yet?

Lemon Bars!

I found a small batch recipe that makes just enough to fit in a loaf pan – yay!   Now I won’t have to be tempted with a big batch and eat a million calories.

(Because I LOVE lemon bars and I know I can’t resist them!)

Let me know if you want the recipe – they are oh so good and the perfect summer treat!

I hope you are noticing that I’m using the new skills I learned in my Food Photography Class.

I’m back at work with portrait sessions and retouching full time so I can’t keep taking new classes right now, but I can keep my skills up!

And side note – purple is the contrasting color to yellow (they are exactly opposite on the color wheel)

so I KNEW these two colors would create IMPACT!

So which one do you want?

Snowy, sugary goodness on overload, don’t you think?

And couldn’t resist a blast from the past in case you need some sparkling lemon water to wash that down….?

But wait!  There’s more!

While I was eating dinner last night I noticed an Bullock’s Oriole sitting on my fence – I ran for my zoom lens and also captured him taking a bath in my fountain –

I figured since he fits the color scheme for the week, here you go – isn’t he so cute?

So then that got me to remembering some YELLOW moments I’ve captured.

Did you know, I’m OPEN and back to doing what I love?  Photographing smiles and giving clients heirloom memories to last a lifetime!

Please let me know when I can reserve a date for your sweet family – I’m now booking through October!

Well, I hope you are smiling more than when you started to read this little lemony story.

If I could bring you a little joy, that would make my day Oh So COOL!

And finally, a quote:

“It’s not what happens to you, but how you handle it.

If Life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

If the lemons are rotten, take out the seeds and plant them in order to grow new lemons.”

And

What can I say:  I’m Feeling Blessed!

And do you know what else I’m blessed by?     Capturing amazing moments for you to treasure for a lifetime!
