Ashley and Kyle are engaged! San Diego, Balboa Park, Manchester Grand Hyatt Wedding and Engagement Destination Wedding Photographer

Throwing back to an incredible Engagement session from a few years ago….
Ashley and Kyle were all set to have a destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
And then in September Hurricane Odile struck that little town and destroyed their venue.
GASP!

So they regrouped.
Did some new planning.

Checked around for the best wedding venues in San Diego….

And decided to move their wedding back to San Diego to the Manchester Grand Hyatt downtown.

And since Ashley had been a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed a few years ago,

she knew right away who to call to be her wedding and engagement photographer.

You’ll have to wait until May to see her wedding, but I can show you their engagement portraits
NOW!  Lucky you!

Three guesses as to the location they chose for Chapter one:  Their engagement love story…

Balboa Park, of course – they brought two sets of amazing clothes and their cute little doggy to help tell the story of who they are as a couple – their romance, their relationship and how fun they are!

My greatest joy is to be asked to capture a couple’s love story from Engagement to Wedding day.
I’m based in San Diego, but would love to travel to your wedding!

Years from now, all that will remain of your special day is your photographs, so choosing your photographer is one of your most important wedding day decisions.

On Sept. 14, Odile slammed Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo, La Paz, Mulege, Bahia de Los Angeles and other towns on the Baja California peninsula. Mexican media reported two confirmed fatalities in the storm, and three reported missing.

Odile’s 125-mph winds and torrential rains left the area by sunrise Sept. 15, but the extensive damage meant some nightmarish days for an estimated 30,000 visitors.

Many were warned not to leave their hotels for their own safety. Some said they had little to eat or drink; the entire area lacked power and, thus, air conditioning. Adults were reduced to tears; tourists prayed out of fear while huddling for safety during the storm, merchants wailed out of frustration when post-storm looters ravaged their shops.
