Frivolous Friday! Balboa Park, Happy Anniversary to me & Meeting the Queen of England
It’s Frivolous Friday!
Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)
Yep, this happened #1:
Can you believe I was at Balboa Park three times this week? Two of my visits were for Family and High School Senior Portrait Sessions
(Balboa Park is an amazing place for portraits!)
…and my third visit was a night time visit with my hubby (stay tuned to hear about that.)
Everything is so beautiful this time of year from the Spanish VIllage’s Flip Flop Tree….
…to the Botanical Building’s poinsettias….and who can resist Santa Claus himself???
Oh…I also met the Queen! (She was visiting the International Cottages!) GASP!
(And apparently she loves purple too!)
Yep, this happened #3:
Hubby and I celebrated our wedding anniversary this week with another visit to Balboa Park – this time after dark!
The colors are so fun and beautiful!
We had tickets for “Ebenezer Scrooge’s Big San Diego Christmas Show” at the Old Globe’s Theatre in the Round.
And it was DELIGHTFUL!
It’s such an intimate theatre every seat has a perfect view….and the actors are always supremely talented because entertaining an audience from all sides is a challenge!
I can’t recommend this show enough – if you have time in your schedule this holiday season – grab the family and GO!

We also treated ourselves to dinner at the Prado – and it was amazing!
I had the shrimp and filet for dinner and the restaurant treated us to their Tres Leche cake as an anniversary gift.
YUM!
And long, long ago we decided to not give each other anniversary gifts, so this photo was my little present to the man who is The macaroni to my cheese – The Jelly To My Peanut Butter – The Smile To My Face – The Water To My Ocean 😉
What can I say: I’m Feeling Blessed!
