Frivolous Friday! A Visit from Matt – How much fun can you squish into 4 days?
It’s Frivolous Friday!
Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)
Yep, this happened #1:
Got a wonderful end-of-summer gift: my Matt came home for a 4 day visit!
Yay! My folks came down for the excitement too and we greeted Matt at the airport in my signature, roll your eyes, silly style…hee hee!
This was accompanied by lots of jumping and hootin and hollarin’
(And my hubby stayed about 50 feet away from us the whole time – to pretend he didn’t know us…sigh…)
We squished lots of fun into our little family time – and a trip to the night zoo was a fun stop!
(And side note – isn’t the entrance so beautiful at night?)
We also strolled around Balboa Park, tried a scooter rental,
went on a few hikes, went bowling, and to a couple museums….
Oh and went to Mars.
(Well….the Mars set at the Air and Space Museum)
I also took a spin in the Mercury Capsule….
And if you haven’t guessed by now, my boys are HIGHLY ALLERGIC to appearing in this blog, so you’ll just have
to trust me when I say we did things as a family….
Yep, this happened #2:
We also did A LOT of eating out – like seriously – A LOT.
Matt had so many foods on his wish list there wasn’t time to eat at home…
Yep, this happened #3:
I pulled a little April Fools Day prank on Matt- I served him a little bowl of what he thought was
pineapple – but was an amazing and tasty yellow watermelon!
(Tastes EXACTLY like regular ole red watermelon – so how much fun is that?)
What can I say: I’m Feeling Blessed!
And do you know what else I’m blessed by? Capturing amazing moments for you to treasure for a lifetime!
