Frivolous Friday! Coyotes and Other Creatures from Lake Hodges, Fire and Lemons on an Orange Tree
It’s Frivolous Friday!
Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)
Yep, this happened #1:
Encountered a coyote and lots of other amazing creatures while hiking at Lake Hodges!
Isn’t he or she beautiful?
***And lest you worry about my safety: I will let you know I was about 150 feet away from him, so don’t worry.
-Luckily I had my LONG, professional zoom lens with me so it only looks like I was standing right there!
Side note – that zoom lens is the same one I bring to weddings so I can zoom in on the bride and groom’s expressions from the back of the aisle!
And side, side note – doesn’t he have nice white teeth?
The better to eat you with my dear….oh sorry…got lost in a fairytale for a second….
Back to Lake Hodges though, aren’t we so lucky to have an amazing treasure just a few miles away from us!
From birds to coyotes and insects to flowers – this park has it all.
And it has algae which created a creature from the green lagoon…
And little Grebe babies – they ride around on mom’s back!
If you’d like to see more photos of the coyote and more animals from Lake Hodges, check out my blog
Yep, this happened #2:
Snuck out of town this week for a quick visit to Palm Springs to celebrate my mom’s birthday.
She thought I was the only one taking her to dinner but the whole family was there to surprised her – and it was so much fun!
We celebrated at Shogun – which is hands-down our favorite special occasion restaurant…
….I mean where else do you get FIRE at your table?
Happy Birthday Mom!!!
Yep, this happened #3:
My parents cracked me up AGAIN.
It’s not orange season so their orange tree doesn’t have any fruit, so they hung fake lemons on it instead….with paperclips no less.
And if you were going to hang fake lemons on your tree, why not draw faces on them?
Are my parents a crack up or what?
And sidenote, I am SOOOO going to do this too!
What can I say: I’m Feeling Blessed!
And do you know what else I’m blessed by? Capturing amazing moments for you to treasure for a lifetime!
sessions are an hour long with unlimited poses, unlimited outfits, unlimited fun!
