Frivolous Friday! It’s all about COLOR: Parrots, Food & Flowers
It’s Frivolous Friday!
Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)
Yep, this happened #1:
Visited the Free Flight Exotic Bird Sanctuary in Del Mar – (it’s a sweet little sanctuary that shelters, nurtures and re-socializes parrots, while educating the public to inspire a lasting concern for the well being of exotic birds.)
And they are open to the public so you can stop by to visit with the parrots and learn a little something….
And check out this little video to see Red the macaw dance and listen to me and Midori have a very deep and meaningful conversation….kinda 😉
I fell in love with this bonded pair of male macaws and their backstory is as adorable as they are:
The red one is blind and the blue one takes care of him…isn’t that the sweetest?
HERE’s their website if you want to visit.
Yep, this happened #2:
Keeping in my theme of COLOR this week, we were in Balboa Park around lunch time so we stopped by the Prado Restaurant for lunch.
Here’s a money and time saving tip for you — they serve the same delicious food but in smaller plates in the lounge.
So not only is there no wait for a table, you can have a whole plate of Mahi Mahi Tacos with pico de gallo, chimichurri aioli, corn tortillas and beans for under $10. At the PRADO!
How’s that for a colorful and yummy deal?
Yep, this happened #3:
I’ve also been enjoying the sunshine this week, haven’t you? Spring has definitely sprung in my backyard and we are enjoying it so much!- captured just after that little rainstorm this week so everything is sparkling with rain.
Here’s a compilation of some of my beautiful backyard flowers in a rainbow of colors!
And here’s a fun little story, every Christmas I buy an Amaryllis bulb to grow indoors, after it blooms I give it a quick plant in my garden –
right now I have about 6 years of bulbs all in glorious, deep red bloom!
What can I say: I’m Feeling Blessed!
And do you know what else I’m blessed by? Capturing amazing moments for you to treasure for a lifetime!
sessions are an hour long with unlimited poses, unlimited outfits, unlimited fun!
