Frivolous Friday! Hopping down the Bunny Trail, Cookies & Canterbury Gardens
It’s Frivolous Friday!
Thought I would share some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)
Yep, this happened #1:
Hopped down the bunny trail with the Easter Bunny and am happy to report he’s super nice!
The backstory to why I was hanging out with the Easter Bunny in the first place, is that I teamed up with Ms. Debbora’s Dance For Children for a charity event to benefit the San Diego Food Bank.
We gave lots of families completely free portraits with the Easter Bunny!
And can I just say one more thing that I hope doesn’t sound braggy: When we were finishing up our two hour free portrait session,
the Easter Bunny actor said to me: “I bet you are a really busy photographer because you have such a positive energy everyone must love having you be their photographer.”
Oh my goodness – is that the sweetest thing or what?
I’ll tell you not only did his words bless me so much (clearly I’m remembering it almost a week later!)
but that really is how I want my business perceived – I think I DO have positive energy and I want you to FEEL it and have FUN when we are together!
Ms. Debbora’s Dance for Children planned such an amazing afternoon for our guests – with the Easter Bunny and a trail of fun and treats all around the local businesses.
We set up an Easter-y scene in her beautiful new dance studio (in Poway you should check it out!)
And of course I captured free portraits of kiddos with the Easter Bunny!
It was all free with a donation of canned goods for the Food Bank! We collected tons of food and met so many wonderful families – including Mrs. California!
Yep. This happened #2
Kept up the Easter theme with some cookie decorating!
Baked amazing flower shaped sugar cookies, whipped up a couple batches of colored frosting….and…[insert sound of a care screeching to a halt and click to the next photo]
Okay- kidding! I have a million high school seniors to photograph – I don’t have time to BAKE right now!
I bought a super fun cookie decorating kit and let me tell you the cookies are soft and delish….we are going to decorate the rest when the family is together for Easter,
but I couldn’t resist busting out one cookie for you to see.
(Best part is this complete kit with 12 big cookies and all the decorations was only $4.99 at Smart & Final – is that a deal or what?)
Yep. This happened #3:
Kept my Easter mood going all week long by getting lost in an explosion of color at Canterbury Gardens in Escondido.
We usually go only during Christmas but we were in the area and thought we’d
see what it looks like in the spring. Well it’s stunning! Filled with color….
And bunnies! Sighed with longing over this tablescape – isn’t it beautiful? I would have loved to have all that for my Easter Dinner table….how about you?
But just a bit too pricy and fussy for my gang….
What can I say: I’m Feeling Blessed!
And do you know what else I’m blessed by? Capturing amazing moments for you to treasure for a lifetime!
sessions are an hour long with unlimited poses, unlimited outfits, unlimited fun!
