It’s Frivolous Friday!
First of all, thanks for all the wonderful birthday wishes this week! Thank you for making me feel special. I am beyond blessed to call you my friends and family!
Here’s some of the fun I squeezed in this week (in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work.)
Yep, this happened #1:
Started my birthday celebration a day early with a morning walk at the Japanese Friendship Garden.
(It was Free Tuesday and the cherry blossoms were calling us… how could we resist?)
It was a wonderous world of PINK!
The bees were having as much fun as we did! (Look at his pollen collection!)
BTW: a few other people were there too…
So maybe when you go, avoid Free Tuesday!

Yep, this happened #2:
Hubby served me breakfast in bed for my birthday on Wednesday!
Our alarm rang at 6:00am, hubby flipped on the light and immediately handed me this!
He had it wrapped in cellophane waiting for first thing in the morning so he didn’t even have to get out of bed for my birthday surprise. (Clever or Lazy – what do you think?)
The backstory with the shark is that it was in with our old birthday decorations (a hold-over from Matt’s 3rd birthday cake cuz I couldn’t throw it away!)
That special shark made my birthday donut even tastier!
(Of course I ate some of my amazing donut right away and then decided to save some for later – that’s when I remembered to take a photo….so sorry the donut has been MUNCHED!)
Am I lucky to have such a fun hubby or what?
Yep. This happened #3
Went on a birthday morning walk around the zoo with my super fun Sister In Law. We were amazed at how active all the animals were -maybe because it was cool and drizzly?
Since we were there to have fun, not photograph – these were capture via iPhone .
(And can I just mention, aren’t we lucky to always have a camera in our pocket?? Cell phone quality pics may not be print worthy, but they sure are memory worthy!)
I only pulled out my phone for one selfie and this tiger LOVING his morning snack:
Yep, this happened #4-103:
I’ll spare you a minute-by-minute of my entire birthday,
but it also involved coffee and warm donuts with friends, lunch and dinner out with even more friends, tons of wonderful wishes on facebook, cards in the mail,
Gifts from Matt and flowers from hubby and a big tray of desserts from the bakery – lots of food, fun and friendship helped make my day extra special – so thank you all!
What can I say: I’m Feeling Blessed!
And do you know what else I’m blessed by? Capturing amazing moments for you to treasure for a lifetime!
