Frivolous Friday! Weddings at the Grand Tradition, My wedding vow, Warm Chocolate Chip Cookies and Frosty Mornings

What three things happened this week in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work???
Well…let me tell you….

Yep, this happened #1:

Did some advanced reconnaissance for my wedding next week.  Did you know that I always pre-visit wedding locations even if I’ve photographed there before?

Well now you know – I want to be 110% ready to hit the ground running on wedding day – so I like to go plan a little photo route

for us based on what the bride and groom have on their wish list and the amazing places I find during my recon mission.

So I was at The Grand Tradition Wedding Estate this week doing just that.

This is the tent where my couple’s reception will be – how stunning is that

as a focal point?

And while I have weddings on my mind, I’m thinking about wedding day promises that aren’t just for the bride an dgroom

Here’s my wedding vow to you:

And back to my reconnaissance mission at The Grand Tradition Estate –

And the grounds are filled with amazing spots for portraits….

Check back in a week or so to see what amazingness I create!

Yep, this happened #2:

Tried but failed!
Failed to resist baking a batch of chocolate chip cookies  during the storm this week….

(What is it about chilly winter days that makes me crave something sweet?)

While I was giving in to my impulses, I decided to bust out the china and enjoy a cup of peppermint tea, some of those fresh baked cookies and my book club book in front of a crackling fire.

(Don’t worry, I did manage to get back to work.)

Yep, this happened #3:

In between the rain we had a frost advisory a couple mornings this week… I couldn’t resist grabbing my camera and macro lens to capture

some of the frosted beauty.  (And yes, I was laying in my backyard in my jammies!)

Just love that one little water drop!

Ahhhh….

What can I say:  I’m Feeling Blessed!
