Frivolous Friday: Downtown for Anniversary Adventure

Frivolous:  carefree and not serious, lighthearted, giddy

Guess what three things happened this week in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work???
Well…let me tell you….

Yep, this happened #1:

Went to TWO holiday parades in the same day!

Back story:  hubby and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with an overnight downtown (gotta love an $85 room at the Hilton Bay Front!  Thank you Travel Zoo!)

We timed it with the evening of the Boat Parade, which has been on my bucket list for years but always seemed like too much of a hassle.

But guess what?

It was also the day of  the Gaslamp Pet Parade  – WOOF!

So we headed on over and were delighted with all the fun doggy costumes and holiday cheer in the air.

Here’s what I’m thinking…..

Is anyone interested in participating in the pet parade with me next year?

We all dress festive, meet up and walk as a group – wouldn’t that be a hoot?

Comment if you are interested and I’ll email you next November with the dates and details and then you can decide if it fits your schedule.

And it doesn’t have to be a dog – bring your tortoise, chicken, cat, pig, rabbit…..all are welcome!

I think it will be FUN!  I don’t think I’ve ever BEEN IN a parade!

Simple or elaborate,  costume or none, I think we would have fun!

Yep, this happened #3:

And wouldn’t you know I’d be lucky enough to have an east facing room at the Hilton and be greeted by a beautiful sunrise???

And we stopped at Hash House a Go Go for breakfast – where hubby had just  small pancake and eggs….

And I had the Goat Cheese and Sundried Tomato Farmhouse Scramble.

We both saved half our meals for breakfast the next day – so double yum!

How’s that for the perfect getaway???

What can I say:  I’m Feeling Blessed!
