Frivolous Friday! One Vacation, One Staycation and a Werewolf!

Frivolous:  carefree and not serious, lighthearted, giddy

Guess what three things happened this week in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work???
Well…let me tell you….

Yep, this happened #1:

I’ve been doing a ton of research and am excited to be planning my next VACATION!

This is not just any old vacation – this is going to be the year I mark off a huge bucket list item and do a New England Fall Foliage trip!

(Insert me doing a happy dance!)

Thought I would share our planned route and beg for any recommendations you might have for:

Fun Places to Visit

Yummy places to eat

And OF COURSE Great Photo Spots

*most of our B & B’s are already booked so we need to pretty much follow the route on the map, but we do still need a recommendation of a city for our sixth and last night near the Green Mountains of Vermont.

So PLEASE give me a hand and let me know what advice you have for me!

Yep.  This happened #2

While I was planning my Autumn Vacation,  I was actually laying in the sun enjoying a super fun 24 hour STAYCATION getaway for 4th of July.

Hubby and I got a room at the Marriott Marquis right on the bay and pretended we were tourists.   This was our 5th year doing this!

We walked around the city,  ate in a new restaurant (stay tuned for that) strolled through the shops at Seaport Village and

then enjoyed a front row seat for the fireworks!

(And even better than a front row seat, we only had a 6 minute commute back to our room at the end of the night!  SCORE!)

Yep, this happened #3:

I encountered a Werewolf.

For breakfast.

Of course I’m talking about the restaurant “Werewolf” in the Gaslamp.

We ventured in after getting a recommendation and discovered it was delish – I had huevos rancheros and hubby had their

breakfast burrito – both were amazing and we will definitely be back to try their lunch and dinner menus.

Side note: how DO you phonetically type a wolf howl?

And Side, Side note – you don’t have to take my word for this place being yummy:

Werewolf topped Yelp’s  List Of San Diego’s Most Popular Restaurants – so how’s that for a second opinion…?

What can I say:  I’m Feeling Blessed!
