Tips for Selecting the PERFECT Wedding Shoes San Diego Wedding Engagement and Couples Photographer

 We all love shoes.

When we find the perfect pair of luscious and comfy shoes we get a warm and satisfied feeling.

So why should finding your wedding shoes be any different?

 
Here are five easy to follow tips for finding the wedding shoes you can wear all night!

 1. Pick a heel height you’re comfortable in.  .Choose a heel height that you feel confident in and that you can walk in all day.
Unless you are use to wearing stiletto heels, don’t choose them for your wedding.
2. Look for the type of shoe you wear the most. Wear what makes you feel good. If you typically wear strappy sandals, look for the same type of shoe for your wedding.
If you always get blisters when you wear closed-toed shoes, then don’t get a closed-toe shoe.
There are plenty of comfortable, fashionable styles from which to choose.

3. Buy the right size. You have found the shoe you want, but you can’t find your size – then skip it!

Don’t buy a size too big thinking you can stuff it with something to make it fit. This is THE day for you to be your most confident. Buy the right size shoe.

4. Purchase your shoes before you have your dress altered. It’s best to bring the shoes that you will actually be wearing to your first dress fitting.

Don’t let anyone talk you into using any shoe from your closet. If your dress isn’t hemmed to the correct length for your shoes, you could be tripping all night.

5. Break your shoes in. Walk around your house (inside only) the last month before your wedding, breaking in your shoes.

Make sure you wear a thin sock or stocking, just like you will on your wedding day. Practice walking and dancing, making sure you are your most confident on your special day!

And bring some flip flops or flats just in case! (You want to be comfortable enough to dance till dawn if you want!)
