Frivolous Friday: My Kind of Coffee Break, a Puppy and Pink Flamingos Everywhere
Frivolous: carefree and not serious, lighthearted, giddy
Guess what three things happened this week in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work???
Well…let me tell you….
Yep, this happened #1:
I thought I’d share something a little quirky that you might not know about me.
Every day I take a “Hot Rock Treatment Coffee Break.”
Before you think that’s extravagant, I’ll give you the whole scoop.
It involves laying flat out on my hot patio (HOT ROCK!) and instead of coffee, I have some sort of diet soda.
You might already know that I usually work 10-12 hour days – and a lot of that is sitting at my computer retouching portraits,
responding to emails, and blogging, etc.
(I might also spend time on Instagram and facebook…. too, but that’s not my fault, I love to see what you all are up to!)
Anywhoo- sometimes I just need to stretch out my back and shoulders from too much hunching over –
so I invented a HOT ROCK Treatment!
Here’s a little diagram of the requirements – and the poodles are an added bonus -(That I couldn’t stop even if I wanted to….lol)
And side note, don’t you love my fountain? It was a Mother’s Day gift from my boys last year….and it still makes me so happy!
Yep, this happened #2:
Got cuddled by a puppy!
It was such a pleasure to photograph this 8 week old golden doodle – and lucky me, I got a hug too!

Yep, this happened #3:
Went to a Tea Party! A FLAMINGO TEA PARTY!
Every year my bestie Betsy invites me to her marvelous church tea party!
This year she decorated her table with an amazing pink Flamingo theme and oooo la LA it was gorgeous!
The food was scrumptious (gazpacho, little tea sandwiches, quiche, fruit, scones and cheesecake!)
Thanks for an amazing afternoon and a sweet little gift to take home! (Except next time, can I please get my OWN bowl of lemon curd…?)
What can I say: I’m Feeling Blessed!
