Frivolous Friday: All the signs of Spring! Birds, Bees, Flowers and a Diet

Frivolous:  carefree and not serious, lighthearted, giddy

Guess what three things happened this week in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work???
Well…let me tell you….

Yep, this happened #1:

Asked hubby to stop the car THREE times on our way home from Palm Springs after our Easter weekend with the family.

Any guesses as to WHY I asked him to “QUICK!  PULL OVER” ???

Because I needed to take a picture of wildflowers of course!

We haven’t had enough wildflowers around home, so I had to stop to soak in the ones I found along the way!

My hubby is always happy to pull over for me, because a few years ago he said “No, let’s stop on the way home.”     Well by then, the light had changed and the magic was gone….

(I might have never let him forget that though…lol…it was the amazing picture that got away… So now he ALWAYS stops….no questions asked…)

And public service note:  of course we only stop on safe side roads….I don’t want you thinking we’re parked in the fast lane while I’m photographing freeway daisies…

Yep, this happened #2:

Had a close encounter of the feathered kind!

One of my friends/clients/amazing ladies, knew I would want to know that she had a hummingbird nest in her backyard.

OF COURSE I zipped right on over and spotted beautiful mama and two little babies….aww!

Did you notice her nest is made with little pieces of leaf, lichen and COBWEBS?   Talk about soft and cushy…

Yep, this happened #3:

The third sign of spring is that I’m on a diet….of course I need to slim down for summer’s tank tops, shorts, dresses and bathing suits…!

So along those lines, I thought I’d share a lo-cal and amazing fast food restaurant that I recently discovered in Poway.

It’s called Chamoy and it’s a Tacqueria and Fruiteria – and it’s DELISH!

(If you aren’t familiar with a Fruiteria,  it means that in addition to all the regular Mexican food choices, they have an extensive menu of fruit based yumminess…)

Because of the whole spring diet THING, I decided to go with fruit for my lunch instead of the burrito that I really wanted…lol.

This is their “Bionico” which is cut up fresh fruit in a light crema with coconut, raisins and slivered almonds….

SO GOOD.

On my second visit I tried their Mango con Coco (mango and coconut) it was delish too!

And so pretty to look at, don’t you think?

And speaking of pretty – hubby’s chicken taco was gorgeous and he said filling and tasty.

So you should try it and I’ll definitely be back!

What can I say:  I’m Feeling Blessed!
