Frivolous Friday! LOVE in Vegas: The sights, the Sounds and the FUN!

Frivolous:  carefree and not serious, lighthearted, giddy

Guess what three things happened this week in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work???
Well…let me tell you….

Yep, this happened #1 of 3:

Had a fun get away this week!   And can I just say,  I love to travel.  Love, Love, LOVE it!

Any where, any how, any way, any day.

Even a short get-away raises my happiness level by a mile….!

Okay – that said, here’s the backstory:  I work 80 hour weeks.  Every Week.

I love everything about my business so it doesn’t really seem like work….sorta.

(Remind me I said that 100 hours in to retouching a thousand portraits from a wedding though, okay?)

Anyway, if I’m home I’m working, so taking a break from home is good on so many levels.

Hubby knows this and surprised me with an early birthday present:   tickets to see Elton John’s Concert in Las Vegas

and of course we stayed a couple days to soak in all that Vegas has to offer.

Yep, this happened #2:

We had great seats at Elton John’s concert  – and enjoyed a fabulous performance with a great set, beautiful lighting and

amazing music.   It was as fabulous as I thought it would be!

“I hope you don’t mind that I put down in words,
How wonderful life is while you’re in the world”

There was a bit of a bru-ha-ha and Sir Elton ended up walking off the stage in the middle of a song!

(Click over to read my blog to hear the whole story about that bit of drama…)

Yep, this happened #3:

I’ll state right up front that I’m not a gambler so that part of Vegas has no appeal for me,

what I love about it is the VISUAL appeal EVERYWHERE– there’s so much to look at and enjoy!

This trip, being so close to Chinese New Year, meant that all the hotels and shops had tons of

beautiful decorations up to celebrate the Year of the Dog.

We stayed at the Venetian Palazzo Hotel and they were all about  stuffed Shar Pei dogs and crazy color.

And while I’m talking about all things beautiful – I had an amazing reunion with a beautiful friend from high school!

Sabrina and I haven’t seen each other since the day we graduated (which may have been more than a few years ago!  GASP!)

We had a great visit and picked up right where we left off!   (Thanks to facebook for allowing us to hook back up!)

What can I say:  I’m Feeling Blessed!
