Frivolous Friday: Lady Bug Luck, a Splash at Sea World and Donuts!
Frivolous: carefree and not serious, lighthearted, giddy
Guess what three things happened this week in between all my portrait sessions and retouching work???
Well…let me tell you….
Yep, this happened #1 of 3:
Scored me some good luck! Times TWO!
Good luck #1 because I spotted this little sweetie while I had my big camera with me….
I was waiting at Balboa Park for a High School Senior Portrait session – I always arrive early to do some exploring!
And good luck #2 because Ladybugs themselves are good luck!
Did you know that if a ladybug lands on you, you should be careful not to brush it off.
Stay very still and count the spots. The number of spots will reveal the number of months you will enjoy good luck.
The stronger the color red is on the ladybug, the better your luck will be.
Since the middle ages people have given gifts with ladybugs drawn on them — this gives love, joy and prosperity- so here you are – a ladybug gift from me to you!
(Side note: if a ladybug/ladybird crawls over an unwed woman’s hand, she will be married within a year…..so keep my info handy, I may be photographing your wedding before the year is out…just sayin’aw)
Yep, this happened #2 of 3:
Hubby and I are enjoying our Sea World annual pass – it was our Christmas gift to each other.
The passes are SUPER reasonable so I recommend you check it out (like $109! including free parking! )
And plus I feel like I’m supporting all the good work they do – I don’t want them to close!
*The beauty of an annual pass is you can go for just 3 hours without feeling like you didn’t get your money’s worth!
We arrived mid afternoon, enjoyed a couple shows, a stroll and had dinner….just enough.
And can I jump on my soap box for a minute….?
Moms and dads, sometimes the best photo is a CANDID one! This sweet capture of the little boy was one of my favs of the day,
but mom was disappointed because she wanted him to turn around and smile…..remember sometimes the moment doesn’t need kids to say cheese…
Yep, this happened #3 of 3:
Went hiking in the hills above Escondido and for some reason on the way home, my car turned right into Peterson’s Donuts…
I tried to control the steering wheel but couldn’t….I ask you HOW STRANGE IS THAT?
What the heck? 😛
What can I say: I’m Feeling Blessed!
sessions are an hour long with unlimited poses, unlimited outfits, unlimited fun!
