Frivolous Friday: An Arachnid Encounter, Training for the Iditarod and a Pastrami Sandwich

Frivolous:  carefree and not serious, lighthearted, giddy

Yep, this happened #1:

In honor of FRIDAY THE 13Th, I have a spooky little series for you….. from a close encounter of the arachnid kind!
Spotted this little sweetie one evening building a web on my patio —
so of course I had to grab a flashlight and my camera to capture the fun!
(If you could have seen me balancing a flash light with one hand and a camera with the other hand,
I think you would have been in stitches…)
I think it’s an Araneus Andrewsi spider by the way….
 Yep, this happened #2:
I’m working on getting my sled dog team in shape for the Alaskan Iditarod.    😉
They are my walking buddies and they are pretty good at mushing…not sure if they are ready to pull a sled through the frozen tundra but we’re working on it.
And I’ll share something with you that maybe you didn’t know about me:
I am a no-nonsense dog walker !
We walk fast,  we don’t pull, we act orderly and we don’t stop to sniff or check ‘pee-mail.’
The business is walking and we get to business.   (I’m such a mean doggy mommy aren’t I?)
Those are the rules and they know it and best of all, they love me and our walks anyway…. so “MUSH Little Poodles, MUSH!”

Yep, this happened #3:
I was in Temecula for an engagement portrait session this week and couldn’t resist stopping for a WORLD FAMOUS PASTRAMI at The Hat before I drove home.
If you’ve never tried a Hat Pastrami – get on up there!  I remembered it from when I lived in Los Angeles where they’ve been serving amazing food since 1951.
Can you believe their customers munch through 15 tons of pastrami per week????
It really was delish – AND HUGE so I brought half home for the next day’s lunch.
(Cuz you know I’m all about a good leftover to cheer up lunchtime!)

What can I say:  I’m Feeling Blessed!
