Frivolous Friday: Crawling, Strolling, Eating: All things PUMPKIN!

Frivolous:  carefree and not serious, lighthearted, giddy

Yep, this happened #1:

Found a new pumpkin patch!  And couldn’t resist trying out the  pumpkin tunnel!
Where was I crawling around a pumpkin patch you might wonder?
Well…..I recently heard about Summer’s Past Farm in Flinn Springs – and couldn’t resist a visit.
The pumpkin patch is adorable — actually the whole property is rustic and cute!
They have a wedding venue there and allow family portrait sessions too
— so if you are thinking pumpkins and portraits – definitely let me know!
Yep.  This happened #2
Bought my first official Christmas gift this week – Ho Ho HO!
Bought it AT the pumpkin patch if you can believe it (and no, it’s not a pumpkin.)
Summer’s Past Farms has the cutest little shop you ever did see – and while I loved a whole-lotta things,
I found something so amazing and unique that I bought one for myself and one more for a  Christmas gift.
Shhh…..and I’m not telling what it is or who it’s for, so you’ll just have to wonder….cuz maybe it’s for you?
The shop is so fun to browse through and so beautifully merchandised it was a pleasure to visit!
The owner told me they really ‘do it up’ for Christmas too,  so I might stop back next month….
Yep this happened #3

And while I was in a pumpkin-y mood, I couldn’t resist trying the new Pumpkin Spice Cheerios.

(Before I tell you what I thought of it, let me tell you I have an amazing lifelong love affair with cheerios!  It’s hands down my favorite cereal – so I was excited!)

Well, I have to say pumpkin cheerios were…..

…….drumroll please…..

Just fine.  Meh.   Don’t need any more that that one bowl.   Sigh.     I had such high hopes for it!    I was imagining them to be little crunchy pumpkin breads,

but instead they were regular cheerios sprayed with a brown-colored, pumpkin-flavored gloss….and the gloss smelled too strong and artificial,  and the taste was overpowered with clove.

Major bummer.  If you want to taste them, stop by and I’ll give you some to try, because the rest of  this box won’t be eaten on my watch.

But don’t worry about me – next week I’m going to get a pumpkin latte from Starbucks (my first of the season!) so I’ll still be getting my pumpkin fix….stay tuned.

What can I say:  I’m Feeling Blessed!
