Frivolous Friday: My Swim with the Sharks, Hugging an Author and Salad Requirements

Frivolous:  carefree and not serious, lighthearted, giddy
 

Yep, this happened #1:

Swam with the leopard sharks in La Jolla.

This is so awesome – you really should go!   You just grab a snorkel and wade out into the ocean at La Jolla Shores and THERE THEY ARE.

The sharks are about 4 feet long and are swimming so close you could reach out and touch them if you wanted to… (I didn’t want to!)

But I did have fun with my gopro capturing a bit of the action.

And I’m sorry the video is wiggly- I’m holding the camera in my hand while trying to swim AND not get eaten by a shark OR stung by a sting ray!

I’ll work on camera steadiness for future episodes of the “Pam Adventure Show.”

 

Yep, this happened #2:

 Got to meet one of my favorite authors this week! 
I’m currently obsessed with Gretchen Rubin – from her books “The Happiness Project” and “Better Than Before” to her award winning podcast – I can’t get enough.
So OF COURSE I had to go hear her speak and get a nice fresh copy of her newest book “The Four Tendencies.”
(It made the New York Times Bestseller list in it’s first week!)
What a wonderful evening!  [And hey – I’m in Warwick Bookstore’s twitter feed!   I think that makes me practically famous!]

Yep, this happened #3:

Enjoyed a salad before the author presentation – from Waters Fine Foods & Catering.

I don’t mind my salad being served in a plastic bowl with a plastic fork, as long as it includes amazing things

like Candied Pecans, Goat Cheese, Grilled Chicken and Oven Roasted Beets all in a yummy spring mix.

Cuz a good salad is ALL ABOUT the goodies!  #CanIGetAnAmen?

And don’t get me started about the chocolate chip cookie we enjoyed for dessert!

What can I say:  I’m Feeling Blessed!
