Eating out! Muzita Bistro: Authentic Abyssinian Cuisine

Tried out a new restaurant last week!
Muzita Bistro on Park Avenue
It’s Authentic Abyssinian / Eritrean / Ethiopian Cuisine
And it arrives like this to your table….so mysterious…

And when the cover is removed a wonderful spicy aroma fills the air!

We ordered:
[and please don’s ask me to pronounce any of this, I just copied it from their menu!]
Dorho  Alitcha Kilwa
Seared boneless chicken breast, garden fresh potatoes,
(All in a serrano, white wine, house herb, Tesimi Sauce)
With a green salad and red lentil side dish
Oh My GOODNESS it was Delish!
And here’s the thing that’s so different:
The meal is served with NO UTENSILS!
You eat with your fingers – pulling off little pieces of bread called Injera –
then grabbing up a bite of deliciousness.
So fun and it really was tasty….I’ll be back Muzita!

From Muzita’s Website:  The bistro embodies our commitment and responsibility to the community, the earth, and each other. The main focus of Muzita Bistro is the exquisite food. We use locally grown produce to make dishes that are reminiscent of the old country.

Throw away the fork and use your hands, the traditional way!
This is food and African hospitality at its best.

We look forward to sharing a meal with you!
