Frivolous Friday Volume 3 San Diego Family, Child, High School Senior, Engagement and Wedding Photographer

Frivolous Friday!

Frivolous:  carefree and not serious, lighthearted, giddy

Volume 3 – the one with pink snow and almond milk.

Yep, this happened:

I crunched through PINK SNOW!

Well kinda.  The petals from a Lemonade Berry bush were covering the trail

— what a beautiful path!

Here are a few more views of the bush.
  • Many plants within this genus are considered toxic but the berries of this bush can be used to make lemonade flavored drinks (hence its common name). An oil can be extracted from lemonade berry seeds and then used to make candles.

Yep, this happened:

2.  I tried Almond Milk and found it to taste…..[drum roll please….}  Disgusting!

(And in case you want to know how they milk an almond,  Here you go:  The basic method of modern domestic almond milk production is to grind almonds in a blender with water, then strain out the almond pulp with cheesecloth,  I love almonds, but please, no more almond milk!

Yep, this happened:

3. Walked 14,000 steps in a single morning’s walk around Torrey Pines Reserve. Noteworthy:  The high surf has removed ALL the sand from the beach, and was splashing the lifeguard lookouts AND our car parked on Torrey Pines Road!  (Scroll down to check my Monday blog
