If you haven’t visited Balboa Park’s Lily pond lately,
I suggest you get the car keys and head out right now while the lilies are in bloom!
The colors are amazing – and everything is ‘a buzz’ with color.
(hee hee…I just crack myself up sometimes….)
When I was there last week, the water was so beautiful, crisp and like a mirror!
I noticed a baby duckie and a little hanky panky going on between two dragon flies…
(keep the kid’s eyes covered!)
If you need directions to the Balboa Park lily pond, you can check out their website!
And of course you might want to take advantage of the beauty by scheduling a family portrait
session while the lilies are at their best and the weather is perfect!
As a photographer it is my great joy to capture Family Portraits that will be artwork for
your home as well as heirlooms for generations to come.
PleaseVISIT MY WEBSITE for more information
on Gift Certificates or scheduling your session.
“The view of the Botanical Building with the Lily Pond and Lagoon in the foreground is one of the most photographed scenes in Balboa Park and a “must-see” destination in San Diego.
Built for the 1915-16 Exposition, along with the adjacent Lily Pond and Lagoon, the historic building is one of the largest lath structures in the world.
The Botanical Building plantings include more than 2,100 permanent plants, featuring fascinating collections of cycads, ferns, orchids, other tropical plants and palms. The Botanical Building also presents some of the Park’s vibrant seasonal flower displays.”
