Sea World — Fun with a splash San Diego, Mission Bay Event and Family Photographer

Every year I like to treat myself to some place fun to visit -a year long pass of some sort-
a museum, Knotts Berry Farm, Disneyland, etc.
(I will always have a Zoo and Safari Park pass – so that doesn’t count)
Guess what I chose for this year?

Sea World!

It’s so close to home, and perfect for a quick little photo getaway
 – to see a show, or just admire the gardens

Fun little video of the flamingo eating here:

And I’ll finish off today with a Penguin fashion show –
do you prefer refined and stately….?
Or Grunge?

Penguins are highly specialized birds are adapted to living at sea — spending as much as 75% of their lives at sea. Its true they cannot fly; instead they swim through the sea at amazing speeds using their “wings” as flippers.
Shiny feathers uniformly overlap to cover a penguin’s skin, much like shingles on a roof. Penguin feathers are short, broad, and closely spaced. This helps keep water away from the skin. Penguins have more feathers than most other birds, with about 100 feathers per square inch.
