These little twins are about to see their daddy after an absence of 7 long months!
(And clearly they were pretty happy about it!)
We met on the runway at MCAS Miramar for Daddy’s military osprey homecoming!
(And if you don’t know what an Osprey is, stay tuned!)
This is my second homecoming with this amazing family —
only they weren’t a family for the first homecoming a couple years ago…mom and dad were just boyfriend/girlfriend!
and I also met them last year to capture the babys’ Baptisms
This was another happy occasion!
Mom kept an eye on alerts from dad – like his picture of his final take off from the deck of the carrier
off the coast of Camp Pendleton….and it wasn’t long before a wonderful sight came into view:
Now you know what an Osprey looks like!
(It’s a tilt rotor aircraft with both a vertical takeoff and landing and short takeoff and landing capability. It is designed to combine the functionality of a conventional helicopter with the long-range, high-speed cruise performance of a turboprop aircraft.)
It always seems to take forever to land and cycle down the engines….
And then a quick formation before they were released to their loving families.
Thank you for asking me to capture your precious memories again!
As a photographer it is my great joy to capture Family Portraits and Military Homecomings
that will be artwork for
your home as well as heirlooms for generations to come.
