Let me know if you are tired of looking at portraits of the beach.
I’m not sure I’ll stop taking them, but I guess I’d hear you out.
It’s just that every time we walk on the beach it is a new and different place — filled with
super interesting and beautiful things.
Like barnacles growing on seaweed.
Osprey’s and seagulls enjoying the day and keeping an eye out for breakfast….
And a brown pelican soaring overhead…..
And no, that wasn’t a shark. It was a sea lion. Whew.
I thought of you and how you love this beauty,
And walking up the long beach all alone
I heard the waves breaking in measured thunder
As you and I once heard their monotone.”
