Cross of Victory: Flowers

I have to say, my MOST favorite part of our Cross of Victory celebration is watching the kids make a beautiful, flower-filled cross!

It all starts off by asking the children to bring some flowers – from the store or from their garden.

Then we have a wooden cross covered with chicken wire for our base.

Each child chooses a couple flowers….

Then wraps a paper towel around the stem.

Then they dunk the stem into some water — now the flower will stay fresh for several days.

Then they find a nice little spot that NEEDS their flower.

 Getting full…

We have so many flowers, we make a second, free standing cross as well!

You should see how proud the children are on Easter morning to share THEIR cross!
