UCLA

Our next and final stop on our whirlwind college visit trip was the University of California Los Angeles.

This school originated in 1881 and is one of the oldest universities in California. The campus was beautiful don’t you think?

I loved the architecture and the art scattered all around the campus. Not only did they have sculpture gardens all over, they had some interesting fountains…This is called the Inverted Fountain because the water flows up from the outside edges down into the center and disappears….cool huh?

Since this campus is so close to Hollywood and the movie studios, lots of filming has been done on campus:Nutty Professor:

Don’t you think this would be a great place for Matt to study Theatre Technology?

We stopped over at the Theater Technology department to check things out….

Beautiful isn’t it?  Those are the dorms way across the valley)

About 36,000 students attend UCLA and they  received 55, 369 freshman applications last fall….

Remember when I showed you USC earlier this week? And we looked at the statue all wrapped and guarded against enemy attack?

Well THIS is the rival school they were afraid of. And guess what UCLA did with THEIR statue during this week of pranks?
