A is for apple…

I think I introduced you to my apple tree a few months ago:

It’s been growing happily and producing lots of fruit. We’ve been enjoying a wonderful harvest of perfect apples (crisp, not too sweet and not too tart…)

Unfortunately for us, the local wildlife has been enjoying our apples too!

The squirrels have been stealing the apples right off the tree. You might look out at any given moment to see a squirrel running across the yard carrying an apple bigger than he is! (sorry I never got a photo of that!)

And the birds are enjoying the Apple Cafe as well…

Even the rabbits have been enjoying our fruit! (Spotted this little scene about 30 feet outside our back fence.)

Usually we just crunch into our apples and eat em plain. But let me show you one of the ways we occassionally enjoy our apples:

With caramel!

(I like to buy the containers of soft caramel – the kind you see in the grocery store apple section? It’s YUMMY!)
