The most recent “Edge Night” had the theme of Lordship.
(Do you remember when I talked about our last meeting of the Edge way back in January? It is our church’s special night for 5th and 6th graders. If you want to refresh your memory you can click HERE and HERE and HERE.)
For the craft project, I taught the kids how to make a simple version of a stained glass window.
Before starting the project, we walked outside to talk about how stained glass windows always tell a story.
*By the way, the stained glass window above shows the “I am” statements of Jesus.
- The Alpha and the Omega
- The root and Offspring of David
- The Bright and morning Star
- The Bread of Life
- The Door and the Good Shepherd
- The Resurrection and the Life
- The Way the Truth and the Life
- The Vine
First, here’s the finished project.
They had fun and were so proud of their finished projects.
We also have a story time, snack time and a group games session:
Now tell me which of the next two photos you like better,
The first is with a flash and high speed shutter.
The second is no flash, slower shutter with panning.
Personally, I like the second one – but I’m guessing the average person would say it looks like a mistake???
